FCS Developmental Teams are formed beginning at the U9 age group. Although these teams play 8 v 8 in the Pima County Junior Soccer League and a couple of tournaments the emphasis is placed on player development. Players are coached to compete, however winning the match will not be the coach’s top priority. At U12 teams begin playing the full 11 v 11 game, which we still consider a developmental year as they become accustom to the larger pitch with six more players on the field.
FC Sonora has developmental teams, boys and girls, U9-U13, in Tucson and Sahuarita.
